J4 Backpatch

Blue Book: J4

Description: In 1995, this became the first backpatch in our lodge available for general purchase. Prior to this time, the only true backpatch issued had been a restricted Vigil issue the Blue Book J3. Designed by then Lodge Associate Adviser, Mike Garner, it was produced to fund a summer camp project sponsored by our lodge for a COPE tower. The patch was too large to scan so the edges of the one here have been cut off. The actual patch is fully round in shape. It sold for $25.

One variant exists with a differing color scheme. The variant was a prototype for the actual patch we produced. With the merger of the lodge at the end of 2002, this variant was placed in the possession of the designer.

Period of Issue:   1995.
Restrictions:       Maximum of 4 per person; Fundraising issue.
Quantity Issued: 125. Offered by pre-order only. Only 5-6 sold from office.
Characteristics:   Fully emboridered; 225mm; Shield reproduction in center is Gray.
