Description: In 1971 or 1972, Lodge 413 initiated a
camping promotion program called "Project PTR". The basic requirements will be
posted as soon as we locate the pamplet that was prepared but the main element
was to recruit two new scouts to attend camp the next summer. A few of the
patches were earned and distributed but the majority were never issued as
intended. For several years, they remained in storage at summer camp. In the
summer of 1976, Jack Roy began slowly giving away a few of them, mostly to
staff members who noticed them in storage and asked! By the time Jack retired
in 1982, we believe the balance of the patches had been handed out at various
times. |
