Description: This insignia was given at the 2002 Vigil
Induction for our lodge to commemorate the years of friendship and service each
member could recall while members of Lodge 413. The insignia was distributed at
the Saturday evening Vigil dinner before the ceremonies, one per person in
attendance. "Nitis Meschatamen" is Lenape and translates to "Friends to
Remember" the central idea that we have all been friends together first and
foremost; something that will not change whatever lodge number we may each wear
in the future. A yellow number "260" is hidden in the design which represents the number of arrowmen inducted into the Vigil Honor by Lodge 413 with the completion of our 2002 Inductions. "1949 - 2002" represents the years our lodge was chartered. The central design was of course adapted from our large blanket patch design. The design was done by Stephen White working with Mike Garner early in 2002. |
