CSP T-1a

CSP: T-1a

Description:       This is our first CSP. While the design is simple, it was popular for many years. The white area within the representation of Arkansas indicated the counties served by Eastern Arkanas Area Council. This patch was reordered several times so there are likely to be variants we have not identified. Samples with the thickness of the lettering having changed have been seen for example.

As late as the 2001 National Jamboree, this patch was being produced and sold through scout shops by the national supply division. As a result, it is very difficult to determine when one of these was issued. Apparently, the supply folks were unaware of the design change since the council probably did not order the new designs from them.

Characteristics: Characteristics: Red twill background; White rolled edge; Yellow fdl; 50x128mm.
