EAAC Jumping Joe
Jamboree
The Jumping Joe Jamboree took its name
from the mascot of Arkansas State University (in use at that time) in
Jonesboro, Arkansas. The "jamboree" was council wide weekend encampment held
ever few years. The event was held on property belonging to the universary. The
first JJJ was held in the fall of 1970 in a location near the football stadium
near where the present day equestrian center is located.
