1981 Section SC-1A Conclave Patch

Description: By 1981, our section had returned to hosting their conclaves at the host lodge summer camp. The college campus experiment had afforded some opportunities, but also proved to be rather expensive. There was also dissatisfaction that as an organization dedicated to camping that one of our primary annual events was not performed in a camping atmosphere. We had also resumed being an "All Arkansas" OA gathering with what proved to be frequent adjustments of the section boundaries.

Native American Dance competion was particularly keen at the conclave. The following individuals took top honors:

Old Style: 1st-John Henderson,Jr (160); 2nd-Price Marshall (413)
Feather Dance: 1st-Nelson Williams (366); 2nd-Jeff Vestal (413)
Small Group: 1st-Lee Crawford / Stan Caperton (413)
Solo: Nelson Williams (366) for Hoop Dance
Best All Around: Price Marshall (413)

Something over 200 arrowmen attended the conclave that weekend. The conclave coordinator for the event was Randy Jenkins. Price was also elected Section Chief at this conclave. The weekend cost $20.
