F4 Flap

Blue Book: F4

Description: The creation of the F4 came about from discussions at our November 2001 Fall Fellowship. At that time, we were actively preparing for the merger of Eastern Arkansas Area Council with our neighbors in Quapaw Area Council. For the moment, we knew that the lodge would continue at least until a transition plan was established. The concept of this issue was that it would harken back to our first flap, the F1, including the "wrong way" arrow. With the council fading away, we chose to reproduce the council initials in a ghost pattern of white on the white twill as "EAAC". (The original F1 of course had an "EAC" initials.) We also incorporated a white ghost fdl beside the lodge name.

Since this was to be the last 413 "EAAC" issue, we chose to limit the quantity as well as the number each member could purchase to ensure all members could get an equal number. As intended, future lodge 413 issues would of course recognize our new council as "Quapaw". There was even discussion of having another twill just like the F4, only with Black "QAC" initials to denote the rebirth as part of Quapaw Area Council. When it became clear that lodge 413 would be merged rather quickly, all such conceptual plans were dropped for further issues. This design was adapted by Mike Garner and Stephen White.
