Description: This is probably the second hardest fellowship patch for
anyone to acquire from our lodge. It was at this fellowship that we
planned for the first ever, Ordeal tapouts in
our chapters in 1971. At the time, Blytheville was an active US Air Force base. The base commander and many of the leaders were active supporters of scouting. They offered the use of many facilities and added a very interesting series of tours that were a hit with the youth. Activities included full use of the base gym, open bowling, a tour of the flight line areas where we could see operational B-52 aircraft, and an opportunity for each arrowman to fire the M-16 rifle (in single shot mode of course!) A total of 136 arrowmen attended. Designed by John Phillips. |
Date of
Fellowship: November 14-15, 1970. Location Held: Blytheville AFB, Blytheville, AR. Quantity Issued: 150. Characteristics: Fully embroidered with Black background; Cut edged; Pocket Loop; 74x95mm. |
