Description: The activities for the 1971 fellowship were much like
we enjoyed from our Air Force hosts in 1970. We had great support from our hosts and
the youth greatly enjoyed seeing "real live" B-52s, other plains and visiting
the marksmanship course again, as well as taking over the bowling alley for much of a
Saturday night! After several years of fellowships, this was the first patch that did not include a pocket loop. No one really knows why this was done (cost?) but for whatever reason, the patches for the next few fellowships could not be easily worn without being sewn onto the uniform. As a result, mint examples of this (and the next two) fellowship patches are not that common. |
Date of Fellowship: November 13-14, 1971.
Location Held: Blytheville AFB, Blytheville, AR. Quantity Issued: 200. Characteristics: Fully embroidered White background; Red rolled edge; No pocket loop; 78x116mm. |
