Blue Book: S10b
| Description: This is a variant of the 25th Anniversary
Brotherhood flap. (For more detail on this issue see the S10a Blue Book
description.) Early in the summer camp season, it appeared that we had ordered
too few of the Vigil issue for this set. Intending to order a small run
150-200, of the Vigil only, an order was placed. For reasons not clear even
then, the manufacturer made a run of ALL THREE DESIGNS! We strongly suspect
that this issue is the result of that reorder. To date, very few have been positively identified within the lodge. Because all remaining anniversary issues were intentionally destroyed at the end of the year, few of this variant may have actually been sold. There is also a strong chance that it was a manufacturing defect on one loom head of an order that resulted in the misalignment of stitching on a small number of issues in one run. The variant was not even noticed until the late 1990's. Approximately 10 with NO green showing above the hill have been seen and fewer than 25 with very little green in that area. |
