Description: This issue is the result of a reorder of the
(Blue Book) S12. No design change was made as we needed flaps quickly. The
omission of the fdl was not corrected. (We simply did not order enough flaps
when we made the initial order of the S12!) The only difference was the
direction of the background stitching which was a manufacturing change and not
something done intentionally. Ironically, because the reorder was very small and used up quickly, this flap became one of the harder to find standard issue flaps from our lodge. Many people active at the time did not even realize there was a difference until years later. Like the S12, this flap was based on a design adapted by Randy Jenkins. |
Period of Issue: 1982 - 1983
Restrictions: None. Quantity Issued: 200 Characteristics: White vertical background stitching; No fdl; Narrower than the typical lodge flap of this period, 50x109mm. |
