| Description: Typically, during the period that we had
three different flaps, we only ordered specific flaps as needed. It was around
this time however, that we needed to order all three of our flaps (O/B/V)
within a short period. Prior to this time we had not incorporated the fdl in
our designs, and the desire was to come into line with the recommended
inclusion of either the fdl or "BSA" in all flap designs. From the appearance
of the small 'pine' trees, rather than the nicer 'cedar' trees, we suspect that
a sample patch from the earlier (Blue Book) S3b may have been sent to the
manufacturer. Both plastic and cloth backed versions exist, probably from different loom runs. This is the cloth backed (CB) variant. |
