Description: This issue was another first for our lodge.
The flap was used exclusively by the Lodge Chief, Don Porter, to recognize on
the spot, noteworthy effort at any lodge event by any arrowman, during the year
2000. Each flap is specially marked and numbered on the reverse side, and the
Chief retained a record of who received each numbered flap. As a result, this
issue is very likely to be a difficult one to come by for collectors. Designed
by chiefs Jason Nichols and Don Porter. A limited number of prototypes of this design exist. There is also the possibility that an additional unauthorized loom or number of overruns of the original patch were made. Some of the overrun examples have a black base material as well as a white base material. We have also received reports that some of the authentication markings have rubbed off, which may make identification of official issues versus the overruns difficult. |
Period of Issue: 2000. Restrictions: Award by Lodge Chief ONLY. Quantity Issued: 101 Characteristics: Black solid flap; Red name; Design achieved by stitch pattern only; Authentication markings on back side, 54x125. |
