S34 Flap

Blue Book: S34

Description:   This flap was our authorized issue for the 2002 NOAC in Bloomington, Indiana, which actually occurred after our council merger and a few months before our lodge merged out of existance.

The design was based on our early 1970's flaps with some interesting changes. The central arrow was highlighted, and a brown trunk was added to each of the five smaller cedar trees. In place of the traditional "EAAC" abbreviation for our council, this flap became the only authorized issue to formally recognize the merger of EAAC with Quapaw Area Council, by the "QAC" lettering. This jokingly has led some old timers to call it the "duck flap" or "quack flap"!

The flap was intended for purchase by the seventeen arrowmen from our lodge who attended the 2002 NOAC. Initially each arrowman could purchase 14 flaps. Any left were then available to the contengent on a first-come first-served basis. The design was developed by David Butler.

Period of Issue:   June - August 2002.
Restrictions:       Available only to those attending NOAC.
Quantity Issued: 300
Characteristics:   Green border; Yellow fdl; "QAC" marking denotes Quapaw Area Council, 58x126mm.
